FREE
Counseling and support for families of children who are blind or visually impaired (and may also have hearing loss).
Blind Children's Learning Center. They offer one-on-one counseling, family counseling, play therapy, In-home services, Therapy for teens and siblings, support during doctor appointments and hospital stays.
The counseling Department Hosts FREE support groups and opportunities to connect: Parent-to-Parent is a chance for parents to meet on a weekly basis for coffee, support, and resources. FATHERS NETWORK allows fathers to share and work through the challenges of raising children with and without disabilities. FAMILY VISIONS gives families the opportunity to share experiences and insights and hear from speakers in the community.

Free Real-Time Captioning for smartphones provided by Stenographers!
Introducing Innocaption!
InnoCaption is a free mobile caption service for those with hearing loss within the United States. This means a phone call will be captioned in real time while you use your voice to speak with the person whom you are speaking to.
This app is available for free on both Apple App Store for iPhones and Google Play for Android phones. You can register for a free 10-digit caption number to be used for people to call you directly at this number which will automatically connect you with a stenographer to caption your phone calls on your own personal phone.
On Apple App store or Google Play simply search for "Innocaption plus".

Who is eligible for InnoCaption service?
Anyone who is deaf or hard of hearing who wants to use their own voice to talk, but needs assistance of the service in understanding the other party.

Deaf Access Program
"The Deaf Access Program (DAP) was created in 1980 to ensure that California’s public programs are adapted to meet the communication needs of deaf and hard of hearing children, adults, and families so they may receive the public benefits and services to which they are entitled and achieve economic independence to fully participate in mainstream society".

Free Telephones: from the California Telephone Access Program (CTAP). CTAP provides free specialized phones and accessories for your mobile phone to all qualified Californians. These devices make it easier to hear, dial, and call. A Program of the California Public Utilities Commission.
Or Free Caption Telephones: from Cationcall: (For this service, you need internet service). This application can be completed and send thought our software to Captioncall but the recipient must have a hearing loss.
DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING SERVICES (California Vocational Rehabilitation services).
Deaf and Hard of Hearing services provide a wide range of vocational rehabilitation services to persons who are deaf, hard of hearing, late-deafened, and deaf-blind. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing Counselors are qualified as being proficient in American Sign Language (ASL) to ensure direct communication access with consumers who use ASL as their primary mode of communication. Deaf and Hard of Hearing Counselors are located in most offices throughout the State. You do need to be a consumer of the Department to receive services.
